You have arrived at the KRK website, which is intended to serve as the official communication channel of the guild, alongside the facebook. Here you will find answers to many larger-than-life questions, as well as useful information about events organised by the Guild and activities in general. Koneenrakennuskilta ry is a student association of mechanical engineering students at Lappeenranta University of Technology, whose purpose is to promote the interests of its members in university and student union matters and to organise various fun, useful and relaxing events. In addition, the guild provides consultancy services for all the above-mentioned activities.

The Guild was founded in 1974 and currently has over 700 members. Every year, about 70 new freshmen are recruited by the LUT's Department of Mechanical Engineering, almost all of whom become members of the KRK. Together with the student union, the freshmen are trained to become the classic charmers of the country, the koneTeekkari. Over the years, the KRK's emblem, overalls and favourite colour has become a bright and warm orange, and you can recognise a koneTeekkari from lappeen Ranta anywhere in Finland!
